TWIST_DT
A calm-air 3D-printed park flyer, born from WUDFLY slow-flight research.
TWIST_DT is a small twin-motor 3D-printed aircraft designed for calm, slow, stable park flying with the help of a flight controller. It started as a WUDFLY research platform for twisted-wing handling, differential thrust, and stabilized flight modes, then grew into a finished little aircraft that is now ready to share.
TWIST_DT digital files
A finished WUDFLY aircraft release with print files, setup notes, assembly guidance, CG guidance, and future updates as the aircraft continues to be refined.
TWIST_DT in the air.
A look at TWIST_DT flying as a small, calm-air, stabilized park flyer.
What TWIST_DT is
This is not a high-speed aircraft like BANDITO. TWIST_DT is about relaxed circuits, smooth turns, long low-power cruising, and seeing how a small printed aircraft behaves when the geometry, propulsion, and flight controller work together.
Slow park flying
Designed for calm-air flying, low-throttle cruise, gentle circuits, and relaxed stabilized-mode sessions.
Twin-motor layout
Two 1003 class motors give TWIST_DT its distinctive character and leave room for optional differential-thrust experimentation.
Research spin-off
A small WUDFLY aircraft that came out of slow-flight testing, now packaged for builders who want a calm-air printed flyer.
Compact twin-motor layout
Small, light, and built around calm-air park flying.
A finished little flyer
A WUDFLY aircraft that grew out of slow-flight research.

Flight character
TWIST_DT is designed to feel smooth and easy in stabilized mode. It is happiest flying gently, using low throttle and wide flowing turns rather than aggressive manoeuvres.
- Best in calm air
Very light aircraft are sensitive to wind. TWIST_DT is for quiet conditions, not rough weather. - Stabilized mode focus
The aircraft was developed around flight-controller assisted flying rather than pure passive stability. - Relaxed circuits
Think gentle turns, calm cruising, slow passes, and tuning sessions. - Long cruise target
The design goal is around 25 minutes in calm-air, low-throttle cruise once the long-endurance setup is verified. - Small-field friendly
The compact 600 mm span makes it easy to transport and suitable for sensible park-flying locations. - Research-derived design
A finished little aircraft that came from WUDFLY work on twist, differential thrust, and stabilized slow flight.

What is included
TWIST_DT is sold as a low-cost digital aircraft package. No physical parts are included.
- STL / 3MF print files
Printable files for the TWIST_DT airframe parts. - Recommended print settings
Starting-point guidance for lightweight LW-PLA printing. - Basic assembly notes
Guidance for putting the airframe together and preparing it for setup. - CG guidance
Balance guidance to help avoid painful first-flight setup mistakes. - Control throw guidance
Starting-point control throw notes for the current release. - Electronics list
Recommended setup based around twin 1003 motors, 2S battery, and F4 flight controller. - INAV / PID notes
Starting-point notes for stabilized flight and tuning. - Future updates
Buyers receive access to future TWIST_DT updates.
Recommended setup
TWIST_DT should be treated as a small tuned aircraft rather than a generic throw-and-go toy. Correct CG, control direction, prop direction, and flight-controller setup matter.
Motors
Twin 1003 class motors on 2S power with small props. Differential thrust can be used for yaw support.
Flight controller
F4-class fixed-wing controller running stabilized mode. INAV setup and PID tuning are part of the aircraft.
Battery
Designed around lightweight 2S LiPo / LiHV batteries, with 750 mAh 2S as the typical setup.
Important flying note
TWIST_DT is a finished WUDFLY aircraft, but it is not a toy-grade beginner trainer. It is intended for builders who are comfortable with lightweight 3D-printed aircraft, flight-controller setup, and basic RC aircraft trimming.
- Calm air only
The aircraft is very light and is not intended as a windy-day model. - Setup matters
Check CG, prop direction, elevon direction, control throws, flight modes, and failsafe before flying. - Future updates
Future updates may refine PID notes, launch settings, rates, differential thrust guidance, and print guidance. - Digital files only
No physical aircraft, electronics, filament, hardware, or printed parts are included.
